“We Will Support our People to Achieve a Smooth Transition”
Mrs. Hosnia Hashem, DMD North Kuwait - North Kuwait.

KwIDF is much more than a purely technological project. More than instrumenting the fields and getting data from the wells to take decisions which will optimize production.

The KwIDF Sabriyah project will have 20 wells equipped with Electric Submersible Pumps (ESP) and Zenith Z-Sight technology for ESP surveillance, optimization, and diagnostics, which will result in significant production optimization.

Well site schematic

The Zenith Z-Sight technology has already been installed in well SA-210 and is going to be tested shortly. As part of the KwIDF project, 20 more wells at the Sabriyah field will have the same technology, which has proved to optimize production in significant rates.

Z-Sight is a recognized technology in the Industry for ESP surveillance, diagnostics, and optimization. This automated well surveillance system sets alarms and protection limits for wells and pumps to ensure optimized production and maximum uptime. It automatically calculates optimum ESP well protection set points, configured for actual well conditions in real time. Z-Sight's automated ESP diagnostics alarm notifies the operators if the ESP in the well is underperforming.

The system also presents recommendations for every specific problem, and allows remote control of the pump. Diagnostics alarms have proved to optimize production by correcting the pump's performance.

Zenith's Z-Sight technology offers operators remote access giving complete control of their operations in an instant.

Through a secure web interface, this technology can allow an operator to increase remotely the ESP's frequency, or correct the pump's rotation, optimizing production and improving equipment runlife, as well as contributing to operators' health and safety conditions.

The interface is also a one-look screen which provides real-time recommendations on how to best operate the well in order to achieve optimum production.

These technologies also processes well and pump information in real time with a simple status indication highlighting whether the well is producing at its optimum, running with potential for optimization, requires analysis or has shut down. There is no doubt that recognizing production optimization potential is fundamental for the whole Industry. This is why Z-Sight is an exciting development for the Sabriyah project.
